When it comes to low back pain, conventional medical professionals usually focus only on anatomical problems. But for people experiencing chronic low back pain, they may find that the low back pain cure they are seeking could consist of several other types of strategies.  Here is a brief description as prescribed by a chiropractor, which could help alleviate your back pain and help it from reoccuring:

1. Release the endorphins -- Endorphins are natural hormones in your body and can be just as strong as any manufactured pain medication. They help block pain signals from registering with your brain. They also help alleviate anxiety, stress, and depression, all associated with chronic back pain. Aerobic exercise, massage therapy and medication are activities that will release these natural pain-killers.

2. Get some sleep -- Approximately two-thirds of people with chronic back pain suffer from some type of sleep disorder. Paradoxically, inadequate sleep can make your back pain worse. Getting help with sleep problems can in turn help decrease chronic lower back pain and make chiropractic treatment more effective.

3. Exercise – Your core muscles (one ones in your abs and back) play a critical role in supporting your lower spine. These muscles usually don't get a good workout during the course of a normal day—they need to be specifically targeted with 20-30 minutes of exercise each day.

4. Cold and/or Heat Therapy -- Don't underestimate the effectiveness in pain reduction with simple cold and/or hot packs to help soothe lower back pain and spur the healing process.
           • Cold therapy reduces inflammation and acts as a local anesthetic.
          • Heat therapy stimulates blood flow, delivering healing nutrients to the affected area, and also                  inhibits pain messages being sent to the brain.

5. The hamstring stretch – Tight hamstrings (located in the back of your thighs) may be a contributing factor in lower back pain. Tight hamstrings will stress your lower back and sacroiliac joints, resulting in even more pain.

6. Train the brain -- The way your brain interprets and processes pain signals plays an important role in how you perceive pain. Developing skills for your brain to reduce or ignore pain signals can go a long way to help you have a positive influence over your pain.

7. Be happy – Being in continual pain can affect your relationships, finances, and your ability to be productive, either at work or at home. It can also interrupt your sleep and affect your mood. Because many other problems can develop along with chronic lower back pain, any natural anti-depressant will help. Just by doing three simple things that make you happy each day can make your pain more tolerable.

There is a lower back pain cure that is safe and drug-free—spinal decompression therapy. It has become a leading alternative health approach that works with the body to restore proper function and health. Spinal decompression restores correct alignment to the structureof the spine so that nerve involvement is reduced or eliminated, reducing pain and allowing the body to heal naturally.
